Seminar Nasional Energi, Telekomunikasi dan Otomasi (SNETO) 2015.

Dengan Hormat,

Dalam perkembangannya, energi semakin beragam tetapi mengkhawatirkan dalam hal ketersediaannya. Energi dari bahan fosil sudah semakin menipis cadangannya.

Ketersediaan energi berbahan fosil yang terbatas sementara sumber energi lain yang belum tereksploitasi secara optimal membutuhkan penghematan dalam pemakaiannya, terutama di industri. Kebutuhan akan energi yang berasal dari fosil masih sangat besar, sementara sumber daya alam lain seperti air, angin, dan nuklir belum digunakan secara optimal.

Telekomunikasi sebagai bagian yang tak terpisahkan dalam kehidupan manusia, telah berkembang sangat pesat sampai saat ini. Dengan berkembangnya teknologi digital membuat sistem teknologi telekomunikasi menjadi leluasa dalam hal inovasinya. Teknologi nirkabel membuat telekomunikasi bisa dimana saja dan kapan saja.

Proses produksi di industri semakin berhasil dalam hal kuantitas dan kualitasnya, hal ini disebabkan hadirnya teknologi otomasi yang telah merambah ke berbagai industri. Hadirnya teknologi otomasi berdampak pada efisiensi energi karena telah terjadi reduksi pemakaian energi secara signifikan. Konsekuensi pemakaian teknologi otomasi adalah berkurangnya pemakaian tenaga manusia yang sudah barang tentu menjadi masalah tersendiri.

Pada akhirnya perkembangan teknologi telekomunikasi yang mendukung teknologi otomasi harus berdampak pada efisiensi energi, dimana sumber energinya semakin berkurang sementara kebutuhan bertambah.

Berangkat dari landasan pemikiran di atas, maka Jurusan Teknik Elektro Itenas bekerja sama dengan beberapa pihak akan menyelenggarakan kegiatan seminar nasional dan call paper, dengan harapan bisa mendapatkan masukan dan sharing diskusi bagi program efisiensi energi dengan dukungan penguasaan teknologi telekomunikasi dan ditunjang oleh teknologi sistem otomasi.

 

Adapun kegiatan seminar dan call paper ini bernama Seminar Nasional Energi, Telekomunikasi dan Otomasi (SNETO) 2015, dengan Tema “Meningkatkan Efisiensi Energi melalui Pemanfaatan Teknologi Telekomunikasi dan Sistem Otomasi”.
