Call of Paper ,Challenges and Advances in Management and Production Engineering

Special Issue on: "Challenges and Advances in Management and Production Engineering"

Guest Editors:
Professor Carolina Machado, University of Minho, Portugal
Professor J. Paulo Davim, University of Aveiro, Portugal

Presently, we live a time in which there is a vast amount of uncertainty and ambiguity about the direction in which organisations are moving. While many advances have been made in understanding the complexity of manufacturing/production engineering, the social and organisational context remains problematical. Interdisciplinary perspectives to further our knowledge and understanding of the development of manufacturing/production engineering and related change processes and work practices are needed. They will contribute to a better integration and interrelationship among organisations, management and employees’ needs in order to increase efficiency, productivity and profitability.

This special issue invites the submission of high quality research articles related to management, human resource management and production/manufacturing engineering in competitive and strategic organisations.

Subject Coverage

Suitable topics include, but are not limited to, the following aspects:
  • Human resource management
  • Culture and organisational behaviour
  • Communication, participation and involvement
  • Work changes
  • Matching human and technological needs
  • The impact of production/manufacturing technology on organisational structures
  • Production engineering/management
  • Financial engineering/management
  • Strategic management
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Interdisciplinary management
  • Decision analysis
  • Sustainable management
  • Operations strategy and planning
  • Statistical methods

AHMAD DAHLAN UNIVERSITY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE, CALL OF PAPER

Theme

Green Economy for Sustainable Development
The major theme of this
conference is broken down into followingfields:
1.    Economics and Social Humanities
2.    Science and Engineering
Terms of Reference Concerns
are mounting over the deterioration of the environment that derived from growth
economic oriented activities. Such a development orientation has led to continuousenvironmental degradation and
natural destruction. The worst impact of the natural destruction face by human
being is global warming which further raises the risk of food crisis.
Unlimited economic needs and consumption combined with
low level of awareness
and  concern among society about the
environment have made natural resources exploitation remains unsuspended,
showing no intention to halt. Excessive exploitation of natural resources
without taking enviromental preservation into serious account would in the
future degrade quality of the environment, threaten food security and hamper
economic development.
Aims
Seminars
are to be held to accomodate ideas and aspiration as a contribution to the
creation of sustainable development throughout the world
